The first session is an “intake” this is a 60mins appointment. You will fill out some questionnaires that we will discuss during your appointment. We will also discuss what is bringing you to therapy, your goals, and a start to discuss a treatment plan. Follow up sessions are 45-50mins long, depending on need.

I’m trained in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, chronic pain, and insomnia, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety and chronic pain. I also have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches are backed by years of research and have been shown to help people improve their mental health and overall quality of life.
At the same time, I recognize that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. While these treatments are grounded in research, that research hasn’t always included or represented people from marginalized communities.
That’s why I work to personalize therapy to each individual I work with, respecting your unique background, values, and lived experience. I also draw on existential and interpersonal therapy to support deeper self-understanding, connection, and meaning.
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward the life you want to live.

CBT-I is a proven way to treat insomnia without sleeping pills. It helps you figure out what thoughts, feelings, habits, or routines might be interrupting your sleep and gives you tools to change them. Whether it’s stress, overthinking, or just bad sleep habits, CBT-I helps you sleep better. It’s usually a short-term process (about 8 sessions).

Sessions are usually scheduled with close regularity at the start of treatment. This could be once a week or every other week, depending on need.

This is something we can discuss during our 15 minute free consultation. Most people are candidates for Telehealth. In order to do a Telehealth appointment you will need a private space for these appointments. If you prefer in person appointments, my office is located in south Scottsdale (81st Street and McDowell Rd).
